Range’s monitoring platform has helped to secure over $12.5B in assets, 730M monitored transactions, on 11 different blockchains.
Customized Security Solutions Tailored to Landslide
Range will develop a tailored version of its monitoring suite specifically for the Landslide community. This integration will provide the same comprehensive feature set as Range for Osmosis, including address tracking, alerts, and event monitoring. With this customized solution, Landslide users will have access to a powerful tool to monitor their transactions and stay informed about important network activities. Users can SLIDE tokens to Avalanche from any IBC-enabled chain with the peace of mind knowing their transacting activities are protected 24/7.
Monitoring Suite
Range will develop and integrate an advanced IBC monitoring suite for Landslide. This suite will offer real-time observability dashboards, anomaly detection, and threshold-based alerts based on rate-limits for cross-chain transactions interacting with the Landslide IBC-AVAX bridge. By closely monitoring IBC traffic, Landslide can proactively identify and address potential security risks, ensuring the smooth and secure flow of assets between chains.
Security Monitoring R&D
Range will conduct extensive research, documentation, development, and deployment of 10 security alert processors specifically designed to monitor high-risk logic within Landslide's IBC client implementation. Additionally, Range will create a customized security dashboard for the Landslide team, providing them with a comprehensive overview of the network's security posture and enabling quick identification and response to potential threats.
Integration with Range Trail
Landslide will be integrated with Range Trail, the most advanced forensics and compliance fund flow monitoring system for the IBC ecosystem. In the unlikely event of a security incident, Range Trail will serve as a crucial tool for tracking and freezing attackers' funds. This integration enhances Landslide's ability to respond effectively to security breaches and coordinate with law enforcement bodies when necessary.
IBC Rate Limits
Range will implement IBC rate limits for Landslide, a critical security mechanism that helps prevent attacks and exploits by limiting the amount of assets that can be transferred through IBC channels within a specified time period. Range will extend and improve upon the current IBC rate limits design, implementing features such as:
- Automatic rate limit creation as a safety backstop
- Mitigations for boundary attacks, such as automatic period rollovers and decay N-period average
- Notional value rate limits based on asset prices from secure oracle sources
- Alternative rate limiting mechanisms like speed bumps, large transaction delays, and value-based latency
- Conditional rate limit bypassing for trusted entities
